Carb Calculator does not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or social media pixels. There is nothing to opt out of except the essential storage listed below.
Essential browser storage
- Sign-in session — a secure token kept in your browser so you stay signed in between visits. Removing it signs you out.
- Recent searches — the last few things you searched, kept on your device only.
- Meal in progress — a meal you're building but haven't saved yet, kept on your device so it isn't lost if you close the app.
Offline cache
If you install the app on your phone, a small offline copy of food data is stored so lookups keep working with a poor connection. The cached copy can be out of date; the app refreshes it whenever it can reach the internet.
Clearing storage
You can clear all of this in your browser settings ("Clear site data" or "Website data"). Signing out removes your session. Clearing storage does not delete your account or anything in your log — that stays on our servers until you ask us to delete it (see our privacy policy).
